    Welcome!

    Welcome to Bologna Elementary School!  My name is Jay Russnak, and this is my second year as the Dean of Students for Bologna Elementary.  It is truly an honor to be a part of the Bologna family and community.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am from Chicago and moved to Arizona about 15 years ago. I graduated from University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a minor in German. I have a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Special Education. I recently finished up my second masters at Arizona State University in Educational Leadership. I have 13 years of experience as an educator. During that time, I taught in a self-contained classroom, resource room, ED program and Instructional Coach for Special Education.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy is based on student-centered leadership. Every decision made in education should be based on what’s BEST for our students. I look forward to working with the students, community, and faculty to ensure that Bologna is a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
