    Welcome!

    Welcome to 1st grade, Scorpions! My name is Ms. Holbrook and I am thrilled to be working with your child at Bologna. I am a native of the Seattle area, and grew up in a small town in Missouri. I have lived in Arizona since 2017 and haven't given a second thought to leaving the cold, snowy winters behind!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and a minor in science in 2014, and recently completed my Structured English Immersion endorsement. After three years teaching 2nd and 4th grades in Missouri, I moved to Arizona and joined the CUSD family in 2017. Over the last seven years, I have taught 1st and 3rd grades. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I am passionate about teaching students the "why's" and "how's" of the world around them. It is my goal to create a classroom community of respect, acceptance, kindness, and support, where we can celebrate our differences and build connections over our similarities.
