    Welcome!

    Welcome Scorpions! My name is Sara Becker and I am your school Social Worker. I am an Arizona native and honored to be in my community serving others. I provide emotional, social and mental health support services to our students. I also work with the student's families to locate community resources. I work collaboratively with students, their families, teachers, and supportive staff to remove barriers to the student's educational learning.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am an ASU Sun Devil! I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Arizona State University in Social Work. I have experience working in educational, clinical and crisis response settings as a social worker.

    My Educational Philosophy

    By providing a safe place, children will have the opportunity to thrive in the classroom. Remaining trauma-informed, utilizing the strengths based framework, and other therapeutic concepts, we will be able to understand the child as a whole and address the underlying issues. Using Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs we will set up a strong foundation for a child to succeed in life.
