Welcome! My name is Ms. Lim and I have been teaching in the Chandler Unified School District since 2016. I am excited to work with you all this year. Be prepared to learn and have fun as we explore the world of orchestral music!
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Music Education with an emphasis in strings. I was involved in the ASU Symphony, performed in small chamber ensembles, and performed solo recitals. I was also involved in The String Project of ASU where I taught both private lessons and orchestra classes. Before coming to CUSD, I previously taught in the Kyrene District from 2014-2016, teaching middle school Orchestra and Guitar before I came to CUSD.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that everyone is capable and that we can accomplish anything if we put our minds to it, especially in music. I love music and strive to inspire others to appreciate it too. Playing an instrument can help a child develop patience, discipline, team work, eye-hand coordination, and can help build a strong character. Music is truly universal and it is unique to be a part of the musical world.
