My Educational Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is based around my belief that every child can learn. I believe in creating a learning environment that allows students to strive to reach their full potential. My students will feel safe in a classroom that functions as a community and family. It is important for my students to know that I care about them and believe in them. I will teach students to respect one another and to be respectful of me. The best way to do this is to show the students that they are respected and valued. Making mistakes is one of the greatest sources of learning, so my classroom creates an environment which allows the students to feel safe and secure to take chances. In order to build this sense of security, my classroom will be a place of acceptance and tolerance.
