    Welcome to the Speech Department for CTA Freedom! I am so excited to be teaching and learning with your student this year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have had the privilege of working in the field of special education for the past 18 years! I have spent the past 13 years as a speech-language pathologist and the previous 5 years as a special education classroom teacher. 

    I earned an undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University (Go Aggies!) in Communication and Mass Journalism in 2002. I followed that by earning my first Master's Degree in Education with emphasis in Special Education from New Mexico State University in 2005. Lastly, I earned my second Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Northern Arizona University (Go Jacks!) in 2013. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy is comprised of building strong relationships with students combined with the implementation of evidence-based strategies to support the diverse needs of each of our learners! I am a strong believer in creating partnerships with families to help our children reach their potential and be surrounded by love and support throughout the process!
