    Welcome!

    Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Jenny Athanas and I have taught Kindergarten at Haley since 2014. I feel so incredibly lucky to be a part of this amazing school and be able to call myself a Haley Tiger!

    My Education and Professional Background

    Before teaching kindergarten, I taught preschool for 3 years in Chicago. I graduated from ASU in 2012, (GO DEVILS!!!), with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I'm in love with teaching these kindergarten kiddos and am excited for the many years to come!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I strongly believe that learning cannot take place until a child feels welcome, safe, secure, and happy. It is so important to me that all my students feel accepted and loved, and that they have a warm environment to come to when they are here at school. This is especially important in Kindergarten, as this is the first experience many children have in the world of education. My goal is to foster a love of learning and education within my students that will last a life-time!
