    Welcome to Mrs. Kringen’s 5th Grade Class! I can’t wait to meet you and I’m looking forward to sharing in the educational journey that lies ahead of us this year! After 15 years in the Kyrene School District, I decided to make Chandler my new home in 2017. Along with my wonderful Haley students that I call family, I have two incredible daughters of my own and a supportive husband. The joy from my students’ growth and learning, as well as the love from my family, inspires my teaching every day!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a proud University of Arizona Wildcat and went on to pursue my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I started my teaching career in the Kyrene School District in 2001 where I taught 4th-6th grade. For the last 7 years in Kyrene, I was an Instructional Math Coach. I believe the life-long learning of teachers is vitally important to student achievement, and this position gave me the wonderful opportunity to attend amazing professional development and mentor teachers.

    My Educational Philosophy

    It is my goal to create a classroom environment where students are held to high expectations, while feeling comfortable to take risks because of the respect and support of one another. Helping children develop their academic and social potential by watching them persevere when problem-solving, and self-discovering the best way to approach problems, is critical to understanding and learning. Haley is just the place where I want to continue my growth as an educator and prepare students to be 21st century learners.
