    Welcome!

    Welcome to 6th grade! My name is Maria Martin, and I am excited to start teaching at Haley Elementary. Since I have been fortunate to have my children attend Haley, we have been part of the Haley family since 2011. My husband Kevin and I have three incredible sons: Colby, Carter, and Cooper. I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year with all of your students!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts and Science in Psychology from Boston College and then immediately continued my education and received my Masters in Social Work from Boston University. After completing my schooling, I worked as a counselor for 6 years before I decided to change careers in 2004 and become a teacher. I received my teaching certification from Arizona State University.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that the students in my classroom are all unique, not only in their abilities, but also in the way in which they learn. Therefore, as the teacher, it is my role to discover the tools and resources they each need to help them all grow academically and socially.
