    Welcome!

    Welcome to the new school year! My name is Mrs. Becker and I am going to be your kindergarten teacher this year. I hope that you had a FUN summer and are ready to learn a lot. This year you will be reading and writing across all subject areas, even math. Some things we will be studying in science and social studies include: plant and animal life cycles, clouds, citizenship, national symbols, community helpers, and maps.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my Bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. Over the last 30 years, I have been a classroom teacher, a reading specialist, and a Reading First coach.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy is that the Ryan school experience should enrich your child's life and fill him or her with an enthusiasm for learning across all content areas.
