Dalby...
Welcome to Kindergarten! This is a year of firsts and new adventures for you and your child. We are a team, and together, we will explore and learn many new things.
My Education and Professional Background
I earned my Masters in Early Childhood Education from ASU in 2014. I earned my Bachelor's Degree, also from ASU, in Music Therapy, where I worked with children with varied abilities in a clinic setting to reach non-musical goals (such as improving social skills, improving verbal skills, etc.) I found that I loved working with my young clients so much that I decided to further my education and become a kindergarten teacher
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that no two children are alike, including personalities, abilities, needs, as well as their best mode of learning. It is important to experience each form of learning (using physical methods, aural skills, etc.) because the more avenues their learning takes, the higher their chances of success.

Cauthen...
Hello, welcome to kindergarten at CTA Freedom. I am so excited to embark on this learning journey with your child! This year will be filled with exploration and new experiences, great memories and milestones, and astounding accomplishments. I am honored to guide your child’s development in kindergarten here at CTA Freedom!
My Education and Professional Background
I have bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and Spanish, as well as a minor in Early Childhood from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I have spent summers studying Spanish in Cuernavaca, Mexico and Valladolid, Spain. I taught kindergarten in Structured English Immersion (SEI) classrooms for five years prior to teaching at CTA Freedom. I started teaching kindergarten at Freedom in 2013 and I feel lucky to be a part of the Freedom Family!
My Educational Philosophy
My goal is to foster a life-long excitement and drive to learn in students. Aside from learning "reading, writing, and arithmetic", we also spend time developing our character. We learn to cooperate, share, support and care for each other. I emphasize life skills such as: being respectful to themselves, others, and our community; being responsible for themselves and supporting others in making responsible choices; and most importantly being self-motivated to work hard, do their best. Education is a collaborative effort with families. I value the time and effort spent helping with homework and following up at home. Students get excited to share their new knowledge with you. Your child will notice the dedication you put forth in their education. It shows how much you care for them and how important school is to you. I appreciate your commitment immensely and I cannot express my gratitude enough for your time and support!

Welcome!
Welcome to second grade! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. There is so much to learn and do in second grade, and I am thrilled to be part of your journey.
My Education and Professional Background
I received both my bachelor and master's degree from ASU. I have had the privilege of teaching second grade since 1998. I started in the Gilbert District and moved to CTA Freedom in 2006.
My Educational Philosophy
Because I have always loved learning, I want to instill that same love of learning in my students. I want them to realize that learning takes place both inside and outside of the classroom. I want them to learn to never be afraid to make mistakes, because some of the greatest learning takes place when mistakes are made. I want the classroom to be a place of refuge where students can learn from each other with complete acceptance.

About
Webster...
Welcome to first grade! My name is Kristin Webster and I am thrilled to be your child's first grade teacher! In my class everyone is part of the Webster's Winners team because we are all winners! Part of being a 'Webster Winner' is someone who works hard to achieve success. Communication between the teacher and families is very important, which is why I have an open door policy. Together we can make this a wonderful school year!
My Education and Professional Background
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona and have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement from Northern Arizona University. I also earned an Early Childhood Endorsement from the University of Phoenix. I began my teaching career here at CTA Freedom in 2005 when it first opened. I taught first grade for four years before moving to North Carolina where I taught for two years (1st grade Reading and Kindergarten). Since returning to Arizona I have taught kindergarten in Scottsdale. I was fortunate enough to come back to Freedom in 2014 to teach first grade again for one year before having the opportunity to teach second grade for three years. I had the privilege of returning to first grade again and am loving it!
My Educational Philosophy
I believe all children are capable of learning. My job as a teacher is to draw out the best in every child. Everyone learns differently and at different paces. A good teacher challenges her students and makes them feel successful by fulfilling each child's individual learning needs. It is important to always be positive and understand that no one can do everything, but everyone can do something!

Welcome to our 5th grade class! I am very excited to be teaching at C.T.A. Freedom. I have been teaching here since the school opened and I'm very proud of all of our accomplishments.
My Education and Professional Background
I originally went to Northeast Missouri State University. Today it is called Truman State. I transferred to Arizona and then graduated from Arizona State University with a teaching degree. I am a big Sun Devil fan. I went on to get my master's degree from Northern Arizona University. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, 2nd grade, and now 5th grade.
My Educational Philosophy
Philosophy of Teaching: I believe each child should have the opportunity to expand on their natural curiosity about our wonderful world and explore different areas that are enlightening and enjoyable for them. One of my priority goals are that each child will develop positive social skills in dealing with other children and teachers. I believe children learn best by being active participants and by being able to use all of their five senses. Knowledge is not something that is given to children as though they are empty vessels to be filled. It is gained through healthy interaction with objects and people. Each child is unique and special.

Baldwin...
5th and 6th graders are welcome to join band. It is an opportunity to learn something new and fun! We learn how to play the instruments, read musical notation, and how to care for the instrument. Playing in band develops self-confidence, responsibility, and requires the students to work cooperatively as a team. We give concerts during the school year and also play at flag raising assemblies. I hope to see you in band!
My Education and Professional Background
Bachelor degree in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Michigan Masters degree in Saxophone Performance from Arizona State University
My Educational Philosophy
All children should have the opportunity to learn about music and how to play an instrument. Music forces the brain to work in full capacity. Music speaks beyond the spoken word, and across cultures. We must keep music in our schools so culture is not lost. No matter what your skill level is, I would like to help you learn.
