About
Johnson...
Welcome to the 5th grade. I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. In 2017 my family and I moved from Washington State and started a new adventure here in Arizona. Best decision we every made. My husband and I have 8 children and 1 grandchild. We have triplet boys who attend Riggs, a daughter who attends Casteel, a daughter who attends NAU, 2 English Springer Spaniels, and 3 grown children who are independent. As a family we love to play games, hang outdoors, and travel.
My Education and Professional Background
I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Saint Martins University in Washington State and my master's degree in educational technology from City University. I have been teaching for almost 30 years.
My Educational Philosophy
I firmly believe that through hard work and determination no goal is unattainable and that every individual is responsible for their own success. It is my goal to create a positive classroom by challenging students through captivating lessons and instruction. This will help in building character strength and many of the other skills that will be needed to help prepare your child to be a successful leader in the 21st century. I believe that a strong partnership between home and school will produce productive and successful lifelong learners.
