    Welcome!

    Hi and welcome to Shumway Leadership Academy! I am so excited to get to know each and every one of you! We are going to be learning so many fun and exciting things in third grade. I am from northern California and moved to sunny Arizona about five years ago to pursue my teaching career. I can't wait to meet you and I am looking forward to a fantastic year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Arizona State University with my degree in Elementary and Special Education in 2019. I started at Shumway in the Spring of 2020 as a special education teacher. I am excited to be here, and I can't wait for another great year.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe all students have something special and unique to offer in our classroom. Throughout the year, I will help students discover their strengths and passions. As their teacher, I will help guide them in the direction of success. In my classroom everyone will be treated with respect and acceptance. Additionally, students will learn what it means to be a leader.
