    Welcome!

    Thanks for stopping by! I am the math specialist at Shumway Leadership Academy. I work with students from kindergarten to grade 6 on their math goals. I can be found in the teachers' classrooms during math time working with a small group of students, parallel teaching, and co-teaching math lessons.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I obtained a Bachelor's in English Linguistics and a Masters in Education from Arizona State University. I taught various grades for 5 years in Phoenix, AZ before beginning an international teaching adventure. I moved to Seoul, South Korea, where I taught grades K-5. After that, I moved to Hong Kong, where I taught grades 1 and 4 at an international school. I moved back to the states last summer to join the Shumway Stars as the math interventionist for grades K-6.

    I believe all students can achieve their math goals with the proper support and encouragement!
