    Welcome!

    Hello everyone, I am Zach Douglas. I am thrilled to be able to join the Hartford Sylvia Encinas community. I grew up and went to school here in Chandler, so I am very excited to work in the school district that provided me with great opportunities as a child.

    My Education and Professional Background

    After university, I spent more than seven years living abroad teaching English. Following moving back to the US at the beginning of 2020,I completed a post-baccalaureate teaching program through Scottsdale Community College.  

    My Educational Philosophy

    Each student is an individual that has a unique way of processing and learning new information. It is my goal to create a fun, engaging, and welcoming atmosphere using multiple teaching methods to reach each student so that they can feel safe participating in class.
