My Educational Philosophy

Everyone is capable of learning in their own way and all students can be successful. Through my work, I hope to show both teachers and students that there is no such thing as being “bad” at math. With a foundational understanding, problem solving skills, and perseverance, anyone can be successful, even if it takes extra time. I hope those I work with will see that with continual effort, they can attain whatever they set their mind to.

My own professional growth is also extremely important to the success of those around me. I strive to model lifelong learning through continual professional development, and analysis and reflection of my teaching and coaching practice. I hope those I’m impacting will realize the importance of lifelong learning and incorporate it into their own lives.
