    Welcome!

    Hello! My name is Mr. O'Mahony and I am the 6th grade TOP teacher here at Hartford. I am excited to be here and look forward to inspiring my students to aim high in life and that tenacity and determination are the keys to achieving their dreams.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have ten years of classroom teaching experience. I also possess a Master's Degree in Gifted Education and a Middle-Grade Language Arts endorsement. In addition to being an educator, I have also self-published six (soon-to-be seven) fantasy and paranormal novels for middle-grade readers. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe in progress, not perfection, and that any academic and behavioral growth should be celebrated. I want my students to become lifelong learners and have the courage to explore their interests and turn them into lifelong passions. Above all, I want them to be proud of themselves, who they are, and their accomplishments.
