    Hello and welcome to Mrs. Gissel's webpage! I am excited about the upcoming year at Santan!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Central College in Pella, IA with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in middle school mathematics and middle school science. My previous teaching experience includes 4th grade math and science, 7th grade math, and 5th grade. This is my second year teaching at Santan, and I am thrilled to be here!

    My Educational Philosophy

    My mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment in which all students can learn and take academic risks. My students are challenged with rigorous mathematical tasks to build a solid understanding of math concepts. I have high expectations for all students to prepare them for high school and help them reach their full potential. I commit to respecting and caring for all students, and I expect their best every day.
