    Welcome to 7th grade English Language Arts!

    This is my 17th year at SJHS.
    I have lived in AZ and NM my whole life.
    I have 2 lovely daughters that I spend most of my time with.
    I love shopping, reading, watching movies, taking road trips, Disneyland, New York City, Broadway musicals, Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Cubs.

    Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education - New Mexico State University – 2007.
    Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction – Grand Canyon University – 2017.
    7th grade ELA @ Santan Junior High, 2007 – present.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I feel that students must be allowed to think critically and creatively with time for self-reflection, so in turn, they will enjoy the learning process. Every student is an individual, and it is my goal to get to know their own personal needs to help them grow and achieve. I think reading is a great way to grow as a learner. "Reading is to the mind, what exercise is to the body."
