    Welcome! My name is Tammy Douglas. I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development. I received my Master's Degree in Education from River Forest College in Illinois. My first 14 years of teaching were spent in the state of Illinois. I moved to Arizona in the summer of 2000 and started teaching in the Chandler School District in 2001. I have managed to teach every grade in an elementary school except for 2nd grade.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Teaching is a passion for me and I want to inspire, educate, and motivate students to become lifelong learners. In order to accomplish my goal I will help your child feel loved, valued, empowered, and capable of success. I am looking forward to not only working with your child, but also working with you as a parent so that we create a team to do what is best for your child. I value each relationship that I build with your child and will work hard each day to help your child exceed expectations.
