Welcome to a wonderful year at Rice. This is going to be a fun filled year with lots of learning and laughs. I cannot wait to see the growth your child makes, so let's get started! Be sure to check back often for new updates and information throughout the school year.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I immediately began to work for Milwaukee Public Schools upon graduating. After my husband and I relocated to Chandler, Arizona from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with our two (fur) babies, Abbey and Penny in 2014, I landed my dream job teaching kindergarten in the Chandler Unified School District.
My Educational Philosophy
My philosophy is to smile all throughout the school day. School and learning should be fun. I believe that children should enjoy coming to school in a safe, respectful, and friendly environment. I value the relationships I build with the students in my classroom as well as their families. I work extremely hard to obtain positive, and open communication among all families. I strive to ensure each child is learning to his or her best abilities and find success in all that he or she does.
