    Welcome!

    Hi! Welcome to 2nd Grade! I am so excited about our new school and more importantly; I am THRILLED to be teaching such amazing kids! This is going to be an exciting year filled with learning and new adventures. I can't wait to get started!!

    My Education and Professional Background

    Bachelor's degree from McNeese State University, Louisiana, in Elementary Education. I have been Spalding Certified since 1997. I am a Thinking Maps Certified Instructor/Trainer as well as a Write from the Beginning Certified Instructor/Trainer. I started teaching in 1997, and have taught Kindergarten, 2nd and 3rd grade.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I understand that your child comes to me with unique experiences, interests and learning styles. My goal is to truly know your child well and use this knowledge to guide, support and motivate him or her. I believe that good teaching requires continual professional development, personal reflection and collaboration. I value parent involvement at every level and encourage you to partner with me to give your child the most powerful and joyous learning experience possible.
