Welcome!
Welcome to 4th Grade! My name is Mrs. Hussey. I, myself, grew up going to school in the Chandler Unified School District so I am very excited to teach here at Hartford where I can show my Chandler pride. One of my favorite things to do is discover new places and cultures. I believe that each student is unique in their own way, and that is something that should be celebrated in our classroom. I hope you're ready for an exciting year filled with memorable learning experiences!
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and I began teaching at Hartford in the fall of 2015! While attending school at a satellite campus here in Chandler, I had the opportunity to complete several internships within the Chandler Unified School District. I was able to experience all grade levels but felt that I was meant to teach the intermediate grades (4th – 6th). I absolutely love teaching at Hartford because of the amazing community that it is surrounded by. Throughout my teaching career, I have had multiple opportunities to expand myself as a teacher through professional development. It is very important to me that I continue to grow as a teacher and learn new ways to engage students.
My Educational Philosophy
As a committed teacher, it is my goal to supply effective learning opportunities to each and every one of my students. It is important that students are provided a hands-on learning environment that allows them to make connections with what is taught to the outside world. I am dedicated to making lessons that are appropriate to each student's different learning style. I will be devoted to educate my students so they may successfully build a brighter future.
