About
Schuttenberg...
Welcome to Kinder CATS! My name is Tiffany Schuttenberg and I am very excited to be teaching at Knox Gifted Academy this year!
My Education and Professional Background
I am an educator who has been with the district since 2006, working with kindergarten and first grade. I have a B.A. in architecture from the University of New Mexico and then attended Ottawa University focused on elementary education. I am certified in kindergarten through eighth grade and I am endorsed in early childhood education and structured English immersion. I have experience teaching Project Lead the Way, a multi-sensory, hands on project based learning program and I have experience teaching Fundations, a multi-sensory language program designed to teach specific phonics rules toward handwriting, phonemic awareness, and phonics.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe students learn through engaging questions and exploration. I work hard with students to create a climate of inclusion. I enable my students to take risks while enriching their learning experiences through problem based learning and class discussions.
