    Welcome!

    Hello! I am an Arizona native, born and raised. I grew up in Chandler, AZ and as a former CATS kid, I am excited to be a part of the KGA community. I come from a large family where I am the oldest of 6 kids. I am the proud dog mom to two miniature schnauzers: Beans and Pepsi. In my time away from teaching, I enjoy crafting, reading, board games, and going to the movies.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated high school from Hamilton and attended NAU for my undergrad where I earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Following a brief break, I graduated from ASU with my master’s degree in elementary education. I began teaching at Knox Gifted Academy in 2022 and I am thrilled to be with the 5th grade team. As a lifelong learner, I continue to further my education any chance I can!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I firmly believe that all children have the potential to succeed. Due to the uniqueness of each student, providing a stimulating environment with engaging learning opportunities sets students up for success in their social, emotional, mental, physical, and intellectual growth. It is my hope to provide the kind of atmosphere that allows each student to blossom.
