    Welcome!

    Welcome! My name is Amanda Whittaker and I’m originally from Washington state. I moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University and have now made Arizona my home. I am excited and proud to be a member of the KGA community.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. I continued my education and received a Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University in Curriculum and Instruction: Technology. My teaching journey began in 2008 and I have taught grades 3rd-5th in several Chandler schools.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe in creating a safe space that fosters risk taking, exploring student interest, and collaboration. I strive to create a positive learning environment that honors and celebrates each unique learner in our classroom. It is my goal to create a community of life-long learners that continues to seek new information, respects the input of others, and takes pride in their accomplishments.
