    Welcome!

    Welcome to our 4th Grade classroom! My name is Rebecca Tonea. I am excited to be your teacher for this school year. I look forward to getting to know your student in order to work hard together to create a positive learning environment.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am originally from California, but was raised in Georgia in a small town. I attended the University of Georgia and other colleges to obtain my degree and other certificates I am proud to bring into the classroom. I have taught in Georgia, Ohio, and now I am proud to say Arizona. I am endorsed in English Language Learners, Early Childhood Education, Gifted Education, and Reading. I am thrilled to be a new addition to the Knox Gifted Academy Family! 

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy derives from my past experience with the types of teachers I have had, or wished I had. I believe that learning should be fun, curious, questioning, and natural. Learning should also be exciting, ongoing moments that are fun for every student with the opportunity to grow. Every child is unique and should have a stimulating environment which encourages curiosity.
