    Welcome to sixth grade! I am looking forward to a great school year filled with academic and individual growth for each student.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Arizona State University in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. In 2020, I earned my master's degree in Reading from Grand Canyon University. In addition to my degrees, I also have the following endorsements: English as a Second Language, Structured English Immersion, and Reading. This is my twelfth year teaching overall. I have taught grades first, third, and fifth. This year will be my second year at Basha Elementary. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that all students are capable of reaching their highest individual ability of success. Through the development of self awareness and individual self reflection, students will be able to contribute to their successes and apply the needed skills throughout their lives. As their teacher, it is my role to ensure that students feel safe, encouraged, and supported throughout their academic school years. I believe in establishing positive relationships with students and their families to allow a collaboration of positive behavioral and academic growth. As a lifelong learner, I am willing to sharpen and advance in my abilities to continue to be highly effective in my teaching profession. Students shall be provided the necessary skills and opportunities to support their social and emotional learning to enhance who they are as individuals.
