    Welcome!

    I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and explain my teaching background. I was born in Pennsylvania but have spent the majority of my life here in Arizona. I am a graduate of Dobson High School in Mesa and ASU in Tempe. I decided I wanted to become a teacher after volunteering some time in a classroom here at Basha. The experience proved to be eye opening and deeply rewarding. I quickly found that there was no other profession that I would rather work in.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have worked at Basha Elementary for eighteen years. I began at Basha as a full-time instructional assistant for the special education department while I was taking night classes to earn my education degree and waiting tables at a local restaurant. I graduated from ASU with the highest honors. I also graduated from University of Phoenix with my master's degree in curriculum and instruction. I have been teaching at Basha since 2004. I have taught Kinder, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and fifth grade.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that children learn through exploration and problem solving. Learning should be fun!
