    Welcome!

    My name is Jena Schroeder and I am the occupational therapist at Basha Elementary. Within the school day, a child has many jobs or “occupations” such as listening, writing, reading, copying written information, participating in PE class, playing with friends, etc. OT is a related service that addresses underlying skills needed for a child to be successful in his/her school day occupations. My goal is to help ALL students at Basha be successful in his/her own unique way by identifying and facilitating needs to promote academic progress!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my Master's of Occupational Therapy in 2010 and have experience across the spectrum of OT practice including school-based, outpatient/inpatient neurological rehabilitation, home health services, geriatric population, and skilled nursing rehabilitation. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    Occupational therapists focus on improving performance in all areas of occupation to facilitate health and promote growth, change, and/or adaptation to achieve health, well-being, and participation in life through engagement in occupation.
