My Education and Professional Background

I received my Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education Biological Sciences from Arizona State University in 1992. I completed my Masters of Secondary Education with Distinction in 2004 at Northern Arizona University. I am 7-12 certified and highly qualified in Biology and General Science. I started my teaching career at Tolleson High School in 1993. I taught Life Science, Integrated Science, Precollege Science, Chemistry and Biology to 9th-12th graders. In 1999 I was hired by Hamilton High School. I taught Biology and Earth/Space Science to 9th and 10th graders. After spending eight years teaching high school students, I decided to try junior high. I spent the next five years at Bogle Junior High teaching both 7th and 8th grade Integrated Science. Due to my husband's career, my family relocated to Bonn, Germany in 2007. We returned to the States in 2013.
