Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Language Arts. My name is Mrs. Alyse Adams, and I am very excited to be part of your educational journey. I absolutely LOVE being a teacher!I was born and raised in Southern California, and then moved to AZ in 2018. I am married to my best friend, Carl, and we have three wonderful sons and five beautiful grandchildren. My faith is an important part of my life. I am also a strong advocate for animals, especially dogs! I look forward to a wonderful year with you at Andersen JH!!
My Education and Professional Background
I am a lifelong learner! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, graduating Summa Cum Laude. I went on to receive a Masters Degree in Education, also graduating Summa Cum Laude. While going back to college, I worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional in Brea, CA grades 7-12. I have taught 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
My Educational Philosophy
Teaching is my passion. I strive to create a safe learning environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and respect. In our classroom, all students should feel safe and free to share, learn, grow, and overcome challenges. It is my goal to not only teach my students academically, but also to give them the tools, strategies, and encouragement they need to be the best people they can be. I am dedicated to building relationships with my students and creating a successful learning environment.
