    Welcome!

Welcome to Ms. Noto’s 7th grade English Language Arts (ELA) class! I am so excited for a year of learning and growing. I grew up in CUSD (from preschool to 12th grade) and loved my education. I had many wonderful teachers who grew my love for learning and my passion in Education. I will ensure to positively impact every student who enters my classroom and make sure they feel confident in their academic skills gained this year!

    My Education and Professional Background

I taught at a Montessori school for three years, where I practiced student-centered learning, and then taught at a Preschool for another year before furthering my education. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at Arizona State University in 2021 in Elementary Education STEM and Environmental Education. I became certified in all Elementary subjects and Middle Grade ELA. I also interned in Math, ELA, and Science classrooms before graduation throughout CUSD schools and student taught at Andersen Jr. High!

    My Educational Philosophy

Humans learn best when they feel respected, cared about, and heard. It is my responsibility to make all children who enter my classroom feel valued. I want children to feel safe enough to share their answers and ideas, no matter what. I follow modern, well-researched, educational philosophies that involve inquiry-based learning, differentiation, and creativity/collaboration. I want children to be engaged in their learning environment and instill this love of learning through my own passion and variety of instruction. I do not only teach ELA content, but strategies/skills that students can use outside of the classroom too.

The Choice is Yours! Why Choose Andersen Junior High?

I student-taught at Andersen Jr. High in the PLTW classroom (Robotics/Coding). Throughout my own education, I interned at many, many schools across the East Valley and nothing compared to how I felt at Andersen. The community here amongst all staff, parents, and students is incredible. Upon graduation, I knew exactly where I wanted to be and I was/am beyond thankful to be a part of this wonderful community.
