    Welcome!

    My name is Mary Bui. This is my first year at Andersen Junior High, but my twelfth year of teaching. I was born and raised in Chandler and love it here.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University in 2005.  Then in 2011 completed my Masters in Educational Technology from Arizona State University.  I am certified in middle school math as well.  I taught fifth and sixth grade at Santan Elementary for 8 years.  And then I taught the 6th grade accelerated program at Hartford Elementary for three years. I recently completed the coursework for teaching gifted students. I have a passion for STEM and love authentic hands-on learning.

     

    My Educational Philosophy

    As a FACS and Computer Science teacher I believe in empowering students to develop essential life skills and foster teamwork and collaboration. I strive to create authentic, hands-on learning experiences that connect classroom learning to the broader world. This experiential learning fosters deeper understanding, skill mastery, and the development of critical thinking abilities.
