    Welcome!

    You are going to love third grade! It will be a fantastic year of learning and growing into the best student you can be. I am here to help you do all of that and more! I live in Chandler with my husband and our chocolate lab. I love to read, hike, practice yoga, kayak and camp. I look forward to learning more about you!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been teaching for seventeen years, the last nine here at CTA Independence. My undergraduate degree is from Missouri State University and I completed the Post-Bac Program for Elementary Education at ASU in 2005. I began my education career in a traditional school environment teaching 2nd grade. I continued teaching 2nd grade for two more years before moving to 3rd grade. I love 3rd grade and have been teaching it ever since! I was honored to be chosen Teacher of the Year in 2010 and received the CUSD Apple Achievement Award in 2018. I am a Spalding Certified teacher as well. I love learning and always look forward to finding ways to continue to grow.
