    Welcome!

    I am very excited for my second year as a Hawk! I have lived all around the world and had the fortune to experience many cultures. My three children were born in different cities in Europe, and are all grown up now. I have lived in Arizona since 2006 and love the heat! I have an adorable cat, Smoochie, who runs our household.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I went to school for my undergraduate degree in Hawaii. I graduated with two Bachelor degrees in 1993. I decided to further my education and become an educator, so I pursued my Masters degree, and immediately began teaching. I am certified in Spalding, Saxon, and Structured English Immersion. I have taught both Traditional and Classic programs.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Learning is my passion and I love exchanging knowledge with my students every day. I have taught 1st, 5th, and 6th grades, and loved each age group! I believe in teaching the whole child and ensure that my classroom is based upon respect between myself and my students. I believe in positive reinforcement and know that my philosophy enables my students to feel safe, comfortable, and excited to learn.
