My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I am filled with U of A pride and absolutely love cheering on my Wildcats every opportunity I get. After graduating from U of A, I continued my educational journey and received my Masters degree from Grand Canyon University in Reading & Curriculum Instruction paired with a specialized reading endorsement. This will be my 8th year teaching kindergarten, and my 6th year at CTA Independence.
My Educational Philosophy
Teaching kindergarten is truly my passion. I am continually amazed by the growth the students are capable of and helping them soar to high levels of academic success is what I love most about my job. My classroom is filled with high expectations, structure and a whole lot of FUN! I believe that students learn best when they are surrounded by happiness and positive energy within the classroom that is fueled by high expectations and rigor. As a team, you and I, can make this an unforgettable year for your child.
