    Hello! I am thrilled to be working at Arizona College Prep and can't wait for the year ahead!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I attended Northern Arizona University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Education with an emphasis on History and Social Studies. During my time at NAU I had the privilege of working in a variety of classroom settings ranging from 6th to 12th grade, but my main focus was US/APUSH. 

    This will be my second year teaching at ACP.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I am passionate about my content and my students. I enjoy developing lesson plans that are both content relevant and engaging, as well as incorporate inquiry-based learning to really bring the hands on experience into the classroom. I have personally experienced APUSH from the student and teacher perspective, and am really looking forward to working with the students to make sure they can be as successful as possible. While memorizing dates tends to be necessary in history, it is also important to me that I send students away with the research and writing skills needed not only to pass the AP test, but to succeed beyond my classroom.
