    Welcome!

    This is my 29th year of teaching and 11th year in the Chandler school district. I am excited to be at ACP High School. I have taught College Algebra for several years and look forward to helping students develop a deeper understanding of mathematics and problem solving throughout the course of the year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been teaching since 1996 after receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from Arizona State University. In 2001, I earned my graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary Mathematics. In addition to teaching high school, I have been in administration in a local school district, an adjunct math instructor at the community college level and have taught for a year at the university.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe every student can achieve greatness with the proper support. I have high standards for my students and scaffold the work and activities to assist them in reaching these goals. By adhering to these principles, I aim to create a thinking classroom that is engaging, inclusive and conducive to deep learning, where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
