Honors Spanish III is a college level course designed to have students use previously studied information. Students will be given an opportunity to apply language in practical situations and discussion. History and literature may also be produced and studied. Students that are in an Honors section will be held to a higher standard of attendance, behavior, and work ethic. “Honors” means the course is one of high distinction. The course has a quicker pace and requires more independent preparation outside of the classroom. It is a college-level course.
Course objective: Students will continue to build their skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking the target language (Spanish). Lessons will be developed according to the Arizona State Standards for Foreign and Native Languages. Arizona standards are based of the National Standards for Foreign Language learning or the 5 C’s (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities).
