    Welcome to 3rd Grade, Toros! I am so honored to be your 3rd grade teacher. I'm originally from California, and I moved to the desert in 2017 to grow with YOU!

    My Education and Professional Background

    • Bachelor of Science in Business Management, 2005
    • Master of Arts in Education, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, 2008

    Prior to teaching in classrooms, I worked in higher education in financial aid and academic counseling roles. I began my classroom teaching career in 2006. I have taught in elementary, junior high and high school. My teaching career has afforded me experience working within a variety of learning models including independent study, distance learning, and online learning.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe all students can learn when given a safe environment to explore, to engage, and to overcome. A safe learning environment includes my 'Big 3' for guiding how we behave toward ourselves, each other and our problems: Be Respectful; Be Responsible; Be a Problem Solver. My goal is to help students learn and to apply their knowledge daily and with joy. Applied knowledge is power!
