    Welcome!

    Welcome to Ms. Zimpfer's webpage! I teach Drama and Theater Workshop at Santan Jr. High, and I have been working at this school since 2007. I grew up in Tempe, but I have also lived in Seattle and NYC. However, apparently, I can't get away from this lovely summer heat, so I always return to the great state of Arizona! I have two boys, and some of my hobbies include hiking, baking, reading, traveling, and occasionally (very often) indulging in high-drama reality TV watching.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated summa cum laude with both a bachelor's and master's degree from ASU. I am highly qualified to teach language arts and theater, and in addition, I am a certified AVID teacher and have an endorsement in library media. I have helped sponsor the AVID club on the junior high campus and have co-directed plays at Santan Jr. and Hamilton High School with my fabulous junior high drama students!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that every child has great potential and the capacity to learn and grow. We all come to the classroom with varying degrees of ability and knowledge, and it is up to me, their teacher, to bring out the unique talents and qualities inherent in every student in my classroom.
