    Welcome!

    Welcome parents and students! My name is Shannan Penneman. I am a native of Tempe, Arizona! I have been at Santan Elementary since 2013. I am currently one of the fabulous Special Education teachers on campus! I teach the 4th, 5th and 6th grade Self-Contained students.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with a Chemical Dependency background in adolescents as well as completed the post BAC programs in both Elementary Education and Special Education. I am certified to teach k-12 General Education, Special Education & Business/Marketing.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the classroom and to the world around them. I strive to create an environment that is safe, supports students, and invites a sharing of ideas. My vision of a successful classroom is where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us.
