    Hello! Welcome to Fourth Grade! I'm excited you're here and I know that we'll have a great year together! If you have questions, concerns, or need other information, please do not hesitate to give me a call or drop me an email.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from Southeast Missouri State University with an emphasis in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish and hold a Master of Education from Northern Arizona University. I hold a Reading Specialist Certificate with training from Arizona State University and have had extensive math training through the Chandler Intel Math Academy, the Vanderbilt University Data Modeling and Statistics Project, and Arizona Mathematics Partnership. I have been in CUSD since 1999! I have taught first, second, fourth, and sixth grade in CUSD. Prior to teaching in CUSD I taught on the Gila River Indian Reservation.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Critical thinking is necessary in today's fast-paced world! In my classroom I strive to create critical thinkers and problem-solvers in a safe environment where all students are valued and differences are seen as strengths. I strive to give students the tools and strategies they need to become lifelong learners and successful in academia and beyond. With the right tools, you can do anything!
