    Welcome to technology! This year is going to be a very exciting and rewarding year. I am very excited to share all the moments with you. I cannot wait to get to know all of you.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am actually a product of the Chandler Unified School District. I went to elementary school at Shumway Elementary, junior high at Willis Junior High, and high school at Hamilton High. After high school, I left Chandler and went to school in Flagstaff at Northern Arizona University. In 2004 I graduated, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Education. In 2007, I completed my masters in Curriculum and Instruction from NAU. I started teaching 3rd grade in 2004 and since have taught 4th grade and am now teaching technology.

    My Educational Philosophy

    As a teacher, I am dedicated to providing students with all the necessary ways and tools to be successful in their learning. In our classroom we work together as a team and always show mutual respect. I believe that students need a mixture of hands on learning, cooperative learning and as well as independent study. Every student needs a protected, caring, and stimulating classroom environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, academically, and socially. I strive to create that environment to help students meet their potential in these areas by creating a class climate that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites students to share their ideas and thoughts.
