    Welcome to Mrs. Rotert's 1st Grade!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I moved to sunny Arizona in 1995 from Iowa. There, I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa and a minor in Health Education. I have been and educator since 1994 and have taught Kindergarten and First Grade! I thoroughly enjoy watching these young children grow and mature in many ways. Teaching is my passion!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe children learn best in a rich, hands-on environment where the teacher will guide students in gaining knowledge to their utmost potential. We will create a sense of 'community' in our classroom, where each child feels safe, respected, and supported. I feel very fortunate each day to have the opportunity to influence and mold the minds of the children of our future. I always look forward to our adventures ahead in First Grade at Riggs!
