    Welcome!

    Hello! My name is Heidi Weiand and I love being part of the Riggs Roadrunner family. I'm originally from Iowa where I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Iowa. After college, I traded the snow for sunshine and began my teaching career in Chandler.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been a teacher for over 20 years. My teaching experience has been in second, third, fourth, and fifth grades. In 1999, I earned my Master's Degree from the University of Northern Arizona.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I am passionate about teaching and have high expectations for the students in my class. It is my hope to teach kids not only academics, but encourage them to be kind, compassionate and respectful, skills that will carry on with them long after they've left my classroom.
