    Hello! I would like to welcome you to Riggs Elementary. I was born in Crosby, North Dakota, but have lived in Chandler since I was a little over a year old. I am a product of the Chandler District and am thrilled to represent such a great district.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my Bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University in May 2016. Prior to teaching, I worked full-time in the mortgage and insurance field while pursuing my teaching degree at night. I enjoyed what I was doing, but I knew I wanted to make a difference. After spending time in my older sister's classroom, I realized that teaching was my passion.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that every student should have the opportunity to receive the best education possible. I want my students to feel welcomed, respected, and safe. In order to do that, building a comfortable community of learners is my main objective. I want to develop skills and provide a safe place to learn and grow. By creating an environment that respects student input, a willingness to participate naturally enfolds. I hope to impact your child and invite them into our safe place.
