    Sanborn Elementary School is located in a suburban community in the Northeast part of Chandler, Arizona. We have worked in partnership with the surrounding Chandler community since our opening in 1993. Our beautiful open-style building cares for 745 students from grades K-6. Our campus is safe, well-maintained, and presents a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. A spacious, well-equipped media center is at the center of our campus. In addition Sanborn has a computer lab and multipurpose room with a beautiful stage. We have an extensive parent resource center, two music classrooms, three gifted classrooms, and four resource classrooms.
    During our seventeen year history, we have earned the respect of our families, and our professional peers. In 2000, we were the recipients of the Arizona Educational Foundation A+ Recognition Award and the Department of Education’s Blue Ribbon Award in 2001. This year, we were very proud to be the first school in Arizona to receive the Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC) “Family Friendly School” Award for fostering a school culture that welcomes all families.
