    Welcome to Preschool at Santan Elementary School. I am looking forward to being your child's preschool teacher this year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my bachelor's in Early Childhood Education in 2014 from the University of Arizona. Bear Down! After graduating, I taught toddlers for two years in Minnesota. I moved back to Arizona in 2016 and taught STEM Pre-K and Community Preschool at Hull for four and a half years. During the 2021-2022 school year, I subbed for the entire year in Galveston's Priority Preschool class. I have taught preschool at Santan since July of 2022. I am excited for another year teaching preschool at Santan! I know it will be a wonderful year.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that students learn best in an environment where they feel safe and loved. Our classroom will be a welcoming space for all of our students to learn, and grow. I believe that early childhood students learn best through play and hands-on learning. Our curriculum is centered around this and aligns with the AZ Early Learning Standards. My goal is that by the end of the school year all my students will start to develop their love of learning, and have many of the social emotional tools that they need to be successful in later grades.
